Research- Pixel style logos

I came across some logos that incorporated a pixel style. Usually when working with logos and other design work the designer tries to avoid showing pixels. Having the pixels visible would show a lack of quality but some designs I've seen embrace this. This has led to a unique 'retro' style that appeals to young and old audiences alike.
